Hebron
The starting part

kotconcert - October 1600 B.C.
Welcome to Hebron, the most awesome community that ever was and will be!
We are an English speaking community, with a fabulous mix of international and Belgium students. Why do we speak English? We tried our native tongues, but we like to speak the same language, so everyone is on the same page, (and jibberish and Latin are so hard). Together with the other great communities we are the Leo XIII seminary. I hear you think? Other communities, why not join them? The answer is simple, we’re the most awesome. Not only do we participate together in the fun activities organized by leo’ers, we also form a bunch of crazy friends, that eat, study and party together, but don't tell your parents about the last one.

The community part

commondinner - 2014
Our weekly commondinners, in which two hebronners cook for the rest, feel just like coming home. Your fellow-students will even get mad if you enter to late. O no, you can't cook? Well time to learn, and you'll always be with another student. Next to those weekly meetings, we have most of our meals in the kitchen or just hang in the kitchen.
Because we are a little family we celebrate everyone's birthday, how do you do that? We pick fake birthdays, but next to a fake date, you can also pick a new age.
Is there more to community life? we organize a charity picnic once a year, but also go on lots of spontaneous trips, play games, hang in the garden, kitchen or pub. During exams we even study together. So enough mental support!

The international part

A peg - somewhere in Belgium, it's like an easter-egg -2014
If you join Hebron you're facing life in a English community. It's an Erasmus-experience at home (for the Flemish students) or a 'real' Erasmus-experience, in which you get to know other international, but also Flemish students.
The sad part is that international students go home after some time. But if you miss them, you can always visit them. Yet another good excuses to go on a holiday. Next to visiting our ex-hebronners, we also go on trips in Leuven and Belgium. Which makes for yet another excuses not to go home during the weekend.

The practical part

charity-picnic - 2014
So if you want to join Hebron make sure that you can speak English, or are willing to train your skills. A little test, if you were able to read the above text, you'll be fine.
We have weekly dinners, a kotconcert, openings- and endingsBBQ and a charity event, which are part of our engagement in Leo XIII. Next to that there are lots of fun Leo XIII activities, like a weekly barnight, and random shit we do in Hebron, like playing a semester long game of Werewolves or just a fun night out.
The random part

strawberry field - Liverpool 2015
Our kitchen is not only our gathering place, but also a place of wisdom. Some wisdom we already want to share with you:
Is your one arm longer then the other? Then the trombone might be your ideal instrument
Optimism: every bottle of wine contains at least one more drop.
Life is a party
80% of success is turning up
Work hard, party harder!
see you!
